A bed, and the year after it
Short-term and transitional housing on Armory Road, inside a program that runs a full year — so a place to sleep is the beginning of the work rather than the whole of it.
Barstow, California
One program, a year long. The bed is where it starts, not where it stops.
No ID, no insurance, no phone, no address. Missing paperwork does not cost anybody a bed or a meal — that gets sorted out once somebody is inside, not at the door.

Residents eat here. Supply comes through the food distribution hub we run with Barstow Community College, which is what keeps it reliable rather than occasional. The public line runs on Fridays and nobody is asked to prove anything to stand in it.
One worker who knows your file — your court dates, your appointments, your benefits, and what has to happen next week.
Job training and placement: help finding work, and then help keeping it.
Mental health care, help getting to medical appointments, and help getting signed up for the coverage you are entitled to — Medi-Cal, IEHP, Molina — including if you arrive with nothing in your name.
Transportation, because in Barstow the appointment you cannot get to is the same as the appointment you never had.
Adults, young adults, teens, and seniors — including people on probation, people leaving custody, and people with nowhere to sleep tonight.
