What this website is

This website describes the programs run by Seed & Shelter in Barstow, California, and provides four ways to send a message. It is information, not an application, and sending a message does not reserve a bed, enrol anybody in a program, or create any obligation on either side.

It is not an emergency service

If somebody is in danger, call 911. If somebody is in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Messages sent through this website are read during office hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm — they are not monitored overnight or at weekends.

It is not advice

Nothing here is medical, legal, or benefits advice. What somebody is eligible for depends on their circumstances, and the only way to find out is to talk to us or to the relevant agency.

Telling us about somebody else

If you use the referral form, please tell us only what is needed to find the person and offer them help. Do not send us their medical details or documents. We will approach them, and they are free to say no.
